'Amanda Wakeley' has always been high up on my list because of her beautiful craftsmanship, stunning cuts and luxurious fabrics and this season is no different.

Do the Hokey Croquis....!

YAY! Finally back in stock so i wasted no time ordering the fab Hokey Croquis Sketchbook and travel pad.. So so much easier than on the computer... And i'll never miss a new idea again. I can just scribble it down in my Oh so pretty- travel pad which is my new handbag essential... :)

Ruffles, tailoring and tie dye....!

Just been commissioned to make this stunning blue dress and guess what..i was given full creative freedom, yay!
Small delicate ruffles on the bustier, all in a gorgeous petroleum blue silk chiffon so slightly see-through.
Long and floaty with spaghetti straps and a visible metal zip at back.

Can't wait to get started :)

Im also making this grey/purple dress for an event i've got in the spring and can't wait to wear it...Just need new shoes now :)

...and just because i'm on a roll at the moment, ive finally decided what to do with my peachy-pinky silk fabric. I've bought different powdered dye colors and will jar dye some of the fabric and make this pretty bow on the back- dress..Bow and fornt pleat in multi colored fabric.

Im waiting for some fabrics to arrive and like to keep myself busy by thinking of the next project and flicking through some of my lovely books.
The best ones are 'Stylist - The interpreters of fashion', '100 years of fashion illustration' and 'Madame Gres - Sphinx of fashion'...What an inspiration!!

Dress to impress....

This is one of the dresses i am working on at the minute - I was commissioned to make this for a wedding my client is going to.
Made in a beautiful Liberty fabric, encrusted with smoke and clear Swarovski crystals on the shoulder.
Looks stunning with it's wide, floaty skirt.

Now Im just waiting for some pictures from the big day :)
