After the newspaper dress, i felt i had to continue taking advantage of my creativity so i decided to start dyeing some of my silks.
This was a plain white sandwashed silk fabric and this is the result of three stage dyeing with black, grey and aubergine.
It is a simple knee length dress with a circle skirt, tie belt and a gunmetal Peter Pan collar (quite heavy)
For orders: Please note that garments in handyed silks will vary in patterns and colors.
The Peter Pan collar is a limited Edition so will not be available after stock ends.
This dress as seen : £155

Here are another two T-Shirts..very different from any other colours and textures i normally use but still fun.
T-Shirt itself is made from good quality black jersey fabric and made from a size 8-10 tee pattern. They are both hand dyed (bleached) and one has got a dyed pattern all over, the other has only got the pattern on the shoulders plus a hand dyed black silk flower.
They're both for sale so email if you want one :)

I love draped skirts (and dresses) and been wanting to make a skirt for ages but i think the overwhelming thought of it has held me back.
I have gathered some images for inspiration and i have a 50s floral fabric i'd like to use so as soon as i can have some alone-time, i will start draping and pinning on Mathilda (my mannequin).. We'll see how it goes :)

Nah, forget it..i tried bringing a little bit of 'light' in to my rainy day but didn't feel inspired..i have to leave that top for another (sunny) day.

I have had this beautiful pale lemon chiffon fabric lying around forever and had completely forgotton about it, untill i had a huge clearout last week.
Im going through a yellow phase at the moment. Not sure if it's the lack of sunshine but i feel my days need brightening up and finding this 'Sunshine' fabric definately did.
Now i need to make a top out of it..I shall make it my mission for this evening!
I'll add pictures of the result as soon as finished :)
Most of you now knows that i have had the honour of being picked for the design and making of the wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses for a Tuscan bride and it is really the most exciting project i have been working on.
We still have another year before the big day but with all planning, sketching and sourcing and last but not least, all fittings, the day they will tie the knot will be here in no time.
So, with the design of the wedding dress decided and the fabrics ordered, we can now start on the bridesmaids dresses.
I will go tulle hunting this week and hopefully we'll have that sorted as well :)
But first..i will enjoy my Mocha Frappucchino :)

I have just been commissioned to make a wedding dress and can't believe it. This is so so exciting and the ultimate challenge...my dream order!
But, i have got a big job ahead of me now...wouldn't want to mess this one up ;)
There will be a lot of fabric sampling, sketching and creating the next few months but as soon as it's ready, it will be on here so you can see :)
Wish me luck!

I had my great friend Hanne's wedding this weekend and had to make a dress for the big event.
Dusky pinks, light blues and beige are colours women tend to go for so my thought was to put a stop to this tradition and opted for a long coral number.
Can't go wrong with a maxi!
To Hanne & Vidar: Enjoy NY and l'chaim !
Also available to order: £190
NO LONGER AVAILABLE

I love dyeing fabrics, especially silks..you never know what will come out.
This time i chose i beige silk chiffon fabric and used a Burlesque red for some interesting effects. Wow, i loved it!
I couldn't leave the fabric there so had to make something straight away. Got a big do in a few weeks and this dress will be perfect for it :)

Really soft but heavy chiffon fabric with great drape - covered in owl wings.
This is a waterfall kimono style top with trumpet sleeves.
THIS ONE'S MINE!! :)but i have enough fabric left to make another so if you want it, email me. I can make it in any size.
